Creating rituals is a meaningful way to mark significant transitions in our lives. One of the most important transitions in many people's lives is the transition from being single to being married. Honoring this transition can help you to feel a deeper sense of connection to your partner, to your community, and to the world around you.

THE GIFT OF A BRIDAL BLESSING

A bridal blessing gives you the opportunity to stop, breathe, gather with those who are closest to you, and layer in the divine, sacred feminine to your transition by taking the time to reflect on the significance of this transition and consciously choosing to honor it, You can deepen your connection to yourself and create a meaningful and lasting memory that you will cherish for years to come.

The Bridal Blessing Ceremony

You or your host choose the location of the ceremony.
Set up to create a sacred space.
We start the blessing ceremony with a welcome.
Begin with a Flower crown for the Bride at the beginning to set the context setting (rituals). Yin/Yang and the divine feminine.
Open with a song/chant or have music playing while cleansing/blessing space and people with incense.
Meditation to call in the ancestors to provide nurturing wisdom. Remember those that have passed that were dear to the Bride, and maybe even those that she didn’t know accompanied by music.
If mothers or grandmothers are present, have them share wisdom/vision.
Introduction of the four elements and how they support and guide women’s feminine journey.
Guests are encouraged to bring an item—a poem, card, or token- supporting the Bride on her feminine journey.
Blessing space/crystal meditation. Creation of the mandala.

A Bridal Blessing Package with Dr. Gertrude Lyons includes:

A Pre-blessing Interview where she will use qualitative interviewing to identify themes and values for your bridal blessing (up to one hour).

An Invitation Template for the bride (or someone else) to invite participants.
Preparation and set up of the blessing ceremony space (30 minutes). You choose the location of the bridal blessing.
Intentional music selection to set the tone for the ceremony.
Unique mandala created with flowers and crystals. NOTE: After the pre-blessing interview, Dr. Gertrude meditates on which flowers and crystals to include based on the themes that arose. These materials are incorporated into the ritual.
Items representing the four elements – earth, air, fire, and water –that will be used in the ritual and given to the bride as keepsakes.
Facilitation of the ceremony (one hour).
