The trips and experiences, and the accommodations were above expectations. Th e value in meeting other women outside my normal circle was also immense. I did not particular focus that much on "self-mothering", the topic of the retreat, but lo oking back, I see the experience of Ireland as being very mothering, it's a very fe minine country and I felt soothed being there. Even the ground is soft and enveloping! I also really enjoyed the hard 4 mile hike in the middle of the night even though I didn't really enjoy it in the moment. It was for sure memorable! I liked the idea of going into the dark in the night, but didn't think we needed focus on the astrology of it (already discussed with G). The falconry experience was also totally wild.... I liked hearing about reclaiming gossip and some of the other pieces that Gertrude brought in and read to us about...

The Ireland Embrace retreat was the balm for my soul I didn't even know I was seeking. To spend time with women who were committed to their wellness and open to life-shifting magic was incredibly nourishing. Gertrude's home on the coast was itself all the medicine I could have asked for: from walks and swims on the beach, to time in the sauna, to writing in the snug room, to my gorgeous, comfortable bedroom, to the views from the dining room where we gathered every morning and evening with delicious food, all encased in such a beautifully designed residence. Yet, Gertrude provided so much more than a peaceful locale - she facilitated deeply spiritual sessions both at home and in the stunning environs of Kerry. Every day was wonderfully curated and tied together with her guidance. I couldn't have asked for anything more for this life-shifting week.
