Welcome to the LYONS Garden here at MAREA.

We hold all life as sacred and have tried to create a beautiful space to inspire you and help you to remember what is most important. We ask you to please honor this space and join us on this wonderful adventure of consciousness and discovery...

Blessings. Peace. Namaste. Love.

LYONS Garden GUIDELINES:

We are part of the MAREA community here in Playa Blanca, that includes other homes, townhomes, condos, a reception area, public pools, a natural telescope, a sweat lodge, a lagoon / nature preserve, a Beach Club, Ola! Restaurant and Coffee Shop, a gym, and a pickleball and padel court. We also have yoga mats and other workout equipment here at the Lyons Garden.

  1. Please respect the natural environment and ecosystem. Watch your step, pick up after yourself, and leave spaces better than you find them.

  2. WILDLIFE does exist at MAREA, and you might even see dolphins and whales (and other pests like ants, mosquitos, wasps, spiders, scorpions, crabs, snakes, bats, etc.). Fumigation does take place, but please be aware. Raid is located under each kitchen sink if needed. We have even seen bioluminescence here…

  3. The sun is VERY strong at MAREA. Please use sunscreen and be careful. We do have sunscreen and bug spray and beach towels at the pool, and we have aloe lotion for sunburns.

  4. Please take a buddy and let others know where you are going – swim with a buddy (shuffle your feet to scare away stingrays), walk on the beach with a buddy, run or bike with a buddy, etc. We do have bikes available.

  5. Swim in the ocean with CAUTION – there are riptides and undertows. Red flags are out, and no lifeguards.

  6. Each bedroom has controls for the fan and air conditioning. The bathroom is open air and is not air conditioned. If you are using the A/C, please keep the bathroom door and outside doors closed. In lieu of the A/C, we do have screen doors, and you can get a nice ocean breeze.

  7. We do enjoy housekeeping services, including taking the garbage out, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, washing towels, and general straightening up. We do have a washer and dryer as well if needed.

  8. The tap water is filtered and can be used for showering and brushing your teeth, but NOT recommended for drinking. Please use the filtered water in the water coolers for drinking. Water coolers are located in each kitchen. The glass water containers in each bathroom are filled with filtered water for drinking.

  9. In case of a medical emergency, an AED machine and first aid kit are located in the front cabinet of the Gathering Room of Casa G (next to the bathroom). There are meds under the sink in each bedroom bathroom (Advil, Pepto, Agrisept) and additional meds are located in the bathroom of the Gathering Room. Fire extinguishers are located in the front entrance carport and in the laundry room.
