    The Paps of Anu

In celebration of Bealtaine, we journey to the Paps of Anu—twin breast-shaped hills rising from the landscape, among Ireland’s most sacred sites. Long associated with the goddess Anu (Danu), an ancient mother of the land, this is a place of deep presence and myth, where we’ll be guided to walk, listen, and be held by her energy.

    The City

A mysterious complex of ancient stone formations held within the landscape of the Paps. Long associated with both local lore and modern Bealtaine gatherings, this sacred area includes a nearby holy well and Marian grotto—echoing the layering of ancient and more recent devotion. Here, we’ll sit upon the earth, share a lovingly prepared picnic lunch, and attune to the quiet wisdom of the land.

    Kenmare Stone Circle

Nestled in the heart of town, this sacred space offers a rare blend of ancient presence and everyday life. Held by two Hawthorn trees, you’re welcome to tie prayers or intentions, adding your thread to this living tapestry of devotion.

Some will journey home today, others tomorrow. However and whenever you depart, may you carry the essence of this land, this circle, and your own unfolding with you.
